Accepted in this county for cottage food
Selling homemade food under Oklahoma’s cottage food law? Training isn’t required — but an ANAB-accredited food handler card builds customer trust and meets market and event expectations. It’s also accepted here for nursing home and healthcare food service staff, volunteers, and anyone else who needs an accredited card.
One exception: restaurant and food establishment workers
If you’ll be working in a restaurant or other food establishment permitted by this county, you’ll need to get your food handler card through the county Health Department directly — contact them for their approved options.
Worth knowing if you supervise: a current Certified Food Protection Manager certification satisfies the requirement in place of a food handler card, and ours is accepted here. See Oklahoma food manager certification →

Does Oklahoma Require a Food Handler Card?
No — Oklahoma doesn’t have a state food handler law, but many counties and employers require anyone who handles food or works around food-contact surfaces to get a food handler card, usually within 30 days of starting the job.
