FoodSafePal exists to make accredited food safety certification accessible and transparent — with certificates accepted nationwide, straightforward pricing, and real human support.
FoodSafePal’s certification programs are built and administered by credentialed professionals in nutrition and food science — not licensed from a third party or resold under a different name. Every program is developed in-house to the accreditation standards that regulators and health departments require.
An independent Advisory Board provides oversight of both certification programs — reviewing them to ensure they remain rigorous, impartial, and always in the learner’s best interest. The board brings together professionals across three disciplines:
FoodSafePal was founded by Gavin Van De Walle, MS, RDN, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master’s in Nutrition and Food Science, who continues to serve as Program Administrator.
Both FoodSafePal programs hold official ANAB accreditation — the gold standard for food safety certification in the United States. Our food handler certificate is ANAB-accredited under ANSI/ASTM E2659, and our food manager certification is ANAB-CFP accredited — meeting the requirements for Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) status.
