Accepted in Clark County for cottage food
Selling homemade food under Nevada’s cottage food law? You’re in the right place — our ANAB-accredited training is accepted in Clark County, along with nursing home and healthcare food service staff, volunteers, and anyone else who needs an accredited food handler card.
One exception: restaurant and food establishment workers
If you’ll be working in a restaurant or other food establishment permitted in Clark County — including Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, and Boulder City — you’ll need to get your food handler card through the Southern Nevada Health District directly. Contact them for their approved options.
Worth knowing if you supervise: a current Certified Food Protection Manager certification satisfies the requirement in place of a food handler card, and ours is accepted here. See Nevada food manager certification →

Does Nevada Require a Food Handler Card?
No — Nevada doesn’t have a state food handler law, but many counties and employers require anyone who handles food or works around food-contact surfaces to get a food handler card, usually within 30 days of starting the job. This video explains who needs one, how to get it online, and how to renew it before it expires — all with FoodSafePal.
