To earn your Alabama Food Handlers Card, simply watch the videos, and pass the test.

You can learn and test in under two hours.

Alabama has no law that requires a food handler card to work at a food establishment, but you must earn one if work in Mobile or Jefferson County.

Even if you don’t work in one of these counties, your employer may still require you to earn a food handler card.

This training meets Alabama’s Cottage Food Law in that you must pass an ANSI-National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accredited food safety course to sell foods that don’t require time and temperature controls for safety.

Your FoodSafePal food handler card will be valid throughout Alabama, except Mobile and Jefferson Counties.

Your Alabama Food Handler Card is valid for three years from the date you earn it.

The cost to earn your Alabama Food Handler Card with FoodSafePal is $15.

The test consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, and you need to answer at least 28 of them (70%) to pass.

If you don’t pass the first time, you’re allowed one free retake.
